After a long and eventful Thursday morning the two cheetah brothers were safely darted, collared and translocated from Mabula Game Reserve to Mapesu Private Game Reserve. This stage was one of the most threatening stages for the cheetah, as they only have a 50% survival rate when translocated to different areas.
Now for the next stage where they will be closely monitored in our boma camp for a few weeks until we are sure they are adapting well to their new surroundings and only then will they be released onto the bigger reserve.
For now we are happy that our two boys arrived safely at their new home.
