After the completion of the largest dam on the reserve, being 650 meters in length, we await the much needed rain. The dam was completed at the start of November and would secure much needed water for the animals on the reserve and will offer some excellent bird watching opportunities. It will also offer our guests some spectacular views and a tranquil setting to leisurely wind away the days while visiting Mopane Bush Lodge. It will also create an eco-system where hopefully all creatures will flourish in.
The building of the second dam and expansion of the lawn in front of the restaurant area is also taking shape, and will provide our guests with outstanding views of the land scape and a chance to see animals coming to drink at the waterhole while reading a book under the shade or sipping a cold beverage at the pool.
Thank you to our earth moving team headed by Croets du Plooy for all their hard work in creating these master pieces, keeping the look as natural as possible.
