Amazing Breakaway!
After a bumpy road full of potholes you get to this hidden gem far north in Limpopo. Arriving to welcoming staff. Great food! The bar is located close to a waterhole where there's activity the whole day from hippos to waterbuck coming to join you for a quick drink. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Wil be back soon!

Well worth a visit to Mapesu which is only 10km from Mapungubwe
...Very comfortable with great views and unfenced... Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious... We really enjoyed the overall experience and must make special mention of the staff... Vic and Tsolo (sp) were extremely efficient and friendly and made meal and bar times enjoyable. Service and food was again excellent when we returned a week later to watch the rugby. Would definitely recommend!

Superb Stay!
Me and my wife had a lovely stay at the Weldernes Camp and they prepared a special dinner for my wife as it was her birthday. The tent was very clean and neat and lovely staff members! Thanks to Gustav the Manager as well. The hospitality was awesome!

Great Place To Stay
... Staff were very friendly and enthusiastically informative about the wildlife and the sites of nearby ancient culture (Rock Painting and UNESCO world heritage site). I am hoping to return to work as a nature conservancy volunteer at Mopane at some point in the near future.

Great location with attractive chalets and nice views.
The proximity to Mapungubwe National Park, which is a gem, is a big plus. Staff was very attentive.

Loved the Mopane bush lodge
... the first impression was wow what a setting, large spacious room along with a large shower and toilet room and our own plunge pool. ... overall view of the lodge was very good and we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again, great staff and a wonderful barman.

Excellent lodge
...This lodge was the lodge we loved the most. The accommodation was excellent, very comfortable and spacious. ...The eating area was lovely, well-decorated and opened: we could see animals coming to the waterhole while eating or having breakfast. ...All the staff were very friendly, helpful, attentive and very professional and we had a fantastic stay.

Lovely Accomodation
We stayed here for three nights. The room was really lovely - food was excellent - game drives were good. Rangers really nice always giving plenty of information. Only a short drive to the Mapungubwe National Park which we visited twice. Cave paintings were amazing.
